DTA: In The Jungle

OKAY! This is my entry for this contest: Pony DTA: OPEN extended time!!!, hosted by IDewAdopts. This is the first time I've drawn an animal that wasn't a pony and man it took lots of redrawing. I used LOTS of references, lion king, other DA artists and pictures from the internet. There was no consistent source. Same with the background, I looked up lots of different watercolored jungle foliage and pulled from them.

Leopards are on the near threatened list and several times of humming birds are listed as endangered.

talent: saving and protecting endangered species
bio: Safe haven was always a very quiet pony. Once, she was playing outside with her imaginary friends when she found an injured bird. She was so concerned, she called her mom out to help. Her mom refused to help it saying that if they helped it, no other bird would go near it for the rest of its life. Safe Haven was determined to help the bird. She ran and got a box and a soft blanket. She wrapped the injured bird up gently in the blanket and put it in the box. She went to see princess Twilight to find out more about the bird and how to heal the injury. They found out that the bird was an endangered species. Twilight helped Safe Haven to cure the bird and send it off. When they were watching it fly away, a bright flash appeared, and safe haven had her mark. Ever since then Safe Haven has helped and preserved rare and endangered species." Biography by IDewAdopts
